Sustainable House :
This unique residence is being designed on a narrow, linear strip of plot which makes it challenging. The linear mass of the house is punctured in the centre with a double height courtyard accentuated by the skylight above. Lit by the diffused natural light, the courtyard becomes the ‘heart’ of the house around which all activities revolve. The design takes inspiration from traditional ‘Wada’ house typology of Maharashtra. The house is designed on the principles of sustainability and responds to all climatic seasons. The architectural expression would be true to the structural system & the material i.e. form-finished concrete & exposed bricks.
